Punjab Launches ‘One App’ Digital Traffic E-Challan System

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has officially launched the Digital Traffic E-Challan “One App”, a new initiative aimed at enhancing traffic law enforcement and ensuring greater transparency across the province.

The system introduces a centralized digital platform that enables traffic authorities to issue and manage e-challans more efficiently. A key feature of the app is the secure storage of video evidence related to traffic violations, allowing incidents to be verified whenever required.

With this digital upgrade, traffic officials can now instantly check:

• Computerized National Identity Cards (CNICs)
• Driving licenses
• Stolen vehicle records

This real-time verification capability is expected to streamline roadside inspections and reduce manual paperwork, while also minimizing the chances of disputes over traffic fines.

The initiative is part of the Punjab government’s broader push toward digital governance and improved public service delivery. By integrating enforcement tools into a single application, authorities aim to promote accountability, curb traffic violations, and strengthen road safety across the province.

The rollout of the “One App” marks another step in modernizing Punjab’s traffic management infrastructure through technology-driven solutions.
