Murree Police Unveil Strict Security Plan for Eid ul Azha Tourists

Murree Police have announced a comprehensive security and traffic management plan for Eid ul Azha 2026 to ensure the safety of tourists visiting the hill station during the holiday period.

The security strategy includes increased police deployment, entry restrictions, and strict enforcement measures aimed at controlling overcrowding and maintaining public order across Murree and surrounding tourist areas.

According to District Police Officer Dr. Muhammad Raza Tanveer, only families will be permitted to enter Mall Road and selected parts of the city during the Eid holidays. The decision has been taken to manage heavy tourist inflows and create a safer environment for visitors.

Murree remains one of Pakistan’s most visited tourist destinations during Eid vacations, attracting thousands of families from different cities each year. Authorities often implement special traffic and security plans to prevent congestion, improve crowd control, and avoid emergencies during peak travel days.

Police officials stated that additional personnel would be deployed at major entry points, commercial areas, and tourist attractions. Surveillance and monitoring measures are also expected to be enhanced to ensure smooth movement of traffic and public safety throughout the Eid holidays.
