Portugal Schengen Visa Requirements for Pakistani Tourists: Bank Statements and More

Planning a holiday in Portugal? Known for its cultural richness, historical landmarks, and stunning coastlines, Portugal is a top European destination. For Pakistanis planning to visit Portugal for less than 90 days, a Schengen Visa is required, granting access to Portugal and other Schengen countries.

Schengen Visa Essentials for Pakistani Citizens

To apply for a Portugal Schengen Visa, you’ll need to go through Gerry’s Visa Application Center in Pakistan, which handles all visa applications for Portugal. Among other documents, an important requirement is a six-month bank statement to confirm you have the financial means to support yourself during your stay.

Minimum Bank Statement Requirements

For a smooth visa process, you must submit a bank statement covering the last six months, signed and stamped by your bank. To meet the minimum financial requirement, you’ll need to show €75 per day in your account. So, for a 30-day trip, you’ll need €2,250 (approximately Rs664,650 at Rs295.4 per euro as of November 2024). This is to ensure that you can manage your expenses comfortably during your visit.

Visa Fees for Portugal

The visa processing fee is €90 (about Rs26,586 as per the November 2024 exchange rate). This fee covers the processing of your application and must be paid at the time of submission.

Additional Documentation to Prepare

Upon arriving in Portugal, be prepared to present additional documents, such as your accommodation details, financial proof, and return ticket. These documents may be requested by border authorities to confirm your trip details.

By meeting these requirements, you’re well on your way to experiencing Portugal’s vibrant cities, stunning landscapes, and rich cultural heritage. Prepare well, and enjoy a smooth entry into this beautiful European destination!
