The Federal Board of Revenue has set up a new customs station at the border between Pakistan and Iran, aiming to facilitate passengers and improve the handling of personal baggage entering the country.

According to an official notification issued under SRO 530(I)/2026, the newly established facility, named Jeerak, is located in District Panjgur. The initiative is part of broader efforts to enhance border management and provide smoother travel experiences for individuals crossing between the two neighboring countries.

The new customs station is expected to play a key role in streamlining passenger flow, particularly for those arriving from Iran with personal belongings. By introducing a dedicated checkpoint, authorities aim to reduce congestion, improve processing times, and ensure better compliance with customs regulations.

Officials believe that the Jeerak station will also strengthen oversight at the border while maintaining a balance between security and convenience. Improved infrastructure at key crossing points is essential for managing increasing cross-border movement and trade activity in the region.

The development reflects the government’s continued focus on modernizing customs operations and enhancing service delivery. Efficient border facilities not only support travelers but also contribute to economic activity by facilitating smoother logistics and regulated trade.

With growing movement across the Pak-Iran border, the establishment of this customs station is expected to bring both administrative efficiency and improved passenger experience, reinforcing efforts to upgrade Pakistan’s border management systems.
