Crypto Companies Can Now Apply for Licenses in Pakistan

Pakistan has formally opened its virtual asset licensing regime, allowing cryptocurrency and other virtual asset companies to seek regulatory approval under the Virtual Assets Act, 2026.

The development marks an important step in the government’s efforts to establish a formal regulatory framework for the country’s growing virtual asset sector. Companies operating in the industry can now begin the process of obtaining official authorization to provide regulated services.

The Pakistan Virtual Asset Regulatory Authority (PVARA) is accepting applications from Virtual Asset Service Providers (VASPs).
