The Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) has successfully completed the rehabilitation of the Faizabad Interchange slip road, marking another step toward improving road infrastructure and easing traffic congestion for thousands of daily commuters.

The upgraded road is expected to enhance traffic movement, improve road safety, and provide a smoother travel experience for motorists using one of the busiest transport corridors connecting Rawalpindi and Islamabad.

Along with the rehabilitation work, the RDA has installed new traffic signboards across the slip road to improve navigation and enhance driver awareness. The updated signage is designed to help motorists follow traffic regulations more efficiently while reducing confusion at key merging points.

The project is part of the authority’s broader efforts to modernize road infrastructure and ensure safer, more efficient transportation across the region.

The completed project was formally inaugurated by Chairman of the Chief Minister’s Inspection Team Punjab and Member of the Provincial Assembly (MPA) Raja Hanif Advocate. During the inauguration ceremony, he commended the Rawalpindi Development Authority for completing the rehabilitation work within the approved timeline.

He also appreciated the authority for maintaining quality construction standards throughout the project, emphasizing the importance of timely infrastructure development to address growing traffic demands.

The rehabilitation of the Faizabad Interchange slip road is expected to benefit thousands of commuters who rely on the route for daily travel between Rawalpindi and Islamabad. Improved road conditions can help reduce travel time, minimize vehicle wear and tear, and contribute to safer driving conditions.

The installation of modern traffic signboards will also improve traffic management by providing clearer directions and better guidance for drivers, particularly during peak traffic hours.

Urban development experts consider regular maintenance and timely rehabilitation of major roads essential for supporting increasing traffic volumes in rapidly expanding metropolitan areas. Projects like this help improve connectivity while reducing congestion on critical road networks.

The Rawalpindi Development Authority has continued to prioritize infrastructure upgrades aimed at enhancing public convenience and strengthening the region’s transportation system. Improved roads, better traffic management, and modern safety measures remain key components of the authority’s development strategy.

With the rehabilitation now complete, commuters can expect a smoother and more organized driving experience on the Faizabad Interchange slip road, reinforcing the government’s ongoing commitment to improving urban infrastructure across Punjab.
