Lahore witnessed a major automotive milestone on 13 February 2026 as Chery officially unveiled the Tiggo 9 Plug-in Hybrid in Pakistan. Marketed as the country’s first premium E-SUV, the Tiggo 9 aims to redefine luxury, performance, and hybrid mobility in the local automotive landscape.

The launch reflects Chery’s unique market-entry strategy under the “HELLO CHERY” philosophy. Before introducing its vehicles, the company prioritized aftersales infrastructure and service readiness to ensure long-term customer confidence. Globally, Chery has maintained its position as China’s leading automotive exporter for 23 consecutive years, with a footprint spanning more than 120 countries.

In Pakistan, the brand operates as Chery Master Pakistan, introduced by Master Auto Engineering, a subsidiary of the Master Group. With a trusted presence in the country for over six decades, the partnership signals a strong commitment to the local market.

Following the earlier introduction of the Tiggo 8, Pakistan’s first 7-seat plug-in hybrid D-SUV, the Tiggo 9 moves a step further. Positioned as the flagship of Chery’s plug-in hybrid portfolio, it is described as Pakistan’s only premium E-SUV, designed not merely to compete but to establish a new segment.

Powered by Chery Super Hybrid technology, the Tiggo 9 delivers up to 170 kilometers of pure electric range and a remarkable combined driving range of up to 1,400 kilometers. With advanced all-wheel drive, Cloud Chassis suspension, and a combined output of 610 horsepower and 920 Nm of torque, the SUV blends high performance with refined comfort.

Inside, the cabin offers European-inspired luxury with 78.9 percent soft-wrapped surfaces. Premium features include door-mounted seat controls, massage seats in the front row, heated and ventilated seats in both rows, a 15.6-inch infotainment display, a 10.25-inch digital cluster, and a 14-speaker Sony sound system. The 6.6 kW vehicle-to-load capability further enhances practicality for modern drivers.

Safety remains a key highlight, with 10 airbags, Level 2 Plus Advanced Driver Assistance Systems offering over 27 driver-assist functions, automatic parking, and Euro 6B compliance standards.
