Ishaq Dar to Represent Pakistan at Arab-Islamic Foreign Ministers’ Meeting in Doha

High-Level Meeting Amid Regional Tensions

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar is set to leave for Qatar today to attend a crucial meeting of foreign ministers from Islamic and Arab countries in Doha. According to diplomatic sources, the meeting will take place tomorrow and will focus on the situation following Israel’s recent attacks on Qatar.

Dar is expected to reaffirm Pakistan’s solidarity and support for Qatar, while the forum will deliberate on a joint response to Israel’s actions.

Condemnation of Israeli Attacks

The gathering of foreign ministers will strongly condemn the recent Israeli airstrikes on Doha, which have been described as a blatant violation of international law and sovereignty. Leaders are expected to discuss ways to collectively counter Israeli aggression and adopt a coordinated diplomatic strategy.

The meeting will also address the ongoing Israeli military operations in Gaza, where civilian casualties and destruction have continued to draw international concern.

Pakistan and Egypt Align on Response

Ahead of the meeting, Ishaq Dar received a phone call from Egyptian Foreign Minister Dr. Badr Abdelatty. Both leaders denounced Israel’s strikes on Qatar and discussed preparations for the upcoming OIC Council of Foreign Ministers session in Doha scheduled for Sunday, 14 September.

A statement from Pakistan’s Foreign Office confirmed that the two ministers emphasized the need for a unified Arab and Islamic response to Israel’s actions, particularly in defending the sovereignty of Muslim states and supporting the people of Palestine.

Pakistan’s Stance on Middle East Conflict

Pakistan has consistently voiced its opposition to Israeli aggression, calling for an immediate halt to hostilities and urging the international community to play its role in ensuring regional peace. Officials in Islamabad have reiterated that Pakistan stands firmly with Qatar and Palestine, supporting their rights under international law.

Dar’s participation in the Doha meeting underscores Islamabad’s diplomatic engagement at a time when the Middle East faces escalating tensions. The meeting is also expected to pave the way for broader discussions at the upcoming OIC sessions.
