Terror Attack in Pahalgam Sparks Regional Concern
After the horrific attack on tourists in Pahalgam, Kashmir, Pakistani actors Farhan Saeed and Sabeena Farooq have demanded greater media accountability from Indian outlets.
The attack, which claimed at least 26 lives, has once again escalated the already fragile relationship between India and Pakistan.
Farhan Saeed: “Indian Media Agitates Rather Than Informs”
Sharing his thoughts on Instagram, Saeed expressed sorrow for the victims but criticized Indian media’s handling of the tragedy.
Calling them “the most irresponsible and the agitator,” he stated that for the sake of viewership ratings (TRPs), the Indian media tends to incite rather than inform.
Saeed warned that reckless narratives could provoke further violence, with ordinary people bearing the consequences.
Sabeena Farooq: “Every Crisis Is Not an Opportunity”
Sabeena Farooq, echoing Saeed’s sentiments, posted a poignant message highlighting the human suffering often overlooked in media coverage.
Drawing parallels between Palestine and Kashmir, she wrote about the unbearable loss faced by survivors.
She pleaded with both Pakistani and Indian media to act with humanity and sensitivity, reminding everyone that not every tragedy is a headline opportunity.
Farooq’s emotional message resonated widely, especially among fans urging a shift toward ethical journalism.
Celebrities Stand United
Alongside Farhan and Sabeena, notable Pakistani celebrities such as Mahira Khan, Fawad Khan, Hania Aamir, and Mawra Hocane have also condemned the Pahalgam tragedy.
They stressed the urgent need for responsible dialogue and cross-border empathy.
