The directive was issued during a meeting with a delegation from Meta, headed by Simon Milner, Vice President for Asia Pacific. The discussions focused on exploring collaborative opportunities within Pakistan’s growing IT and digital media landscape.

The meeting was attended by notable government officials, including Shaza Fatima, Jahanzeb Khan, and Tania Odros. Prime Minister Sharif emphasized the unprecedented allocation of funds for IT development, marking a significant commitment to advancing Pakistan’s technological infrastructure.

During the meeting, the Prime Minister stressed the importance of leveraging IT and AI technologies to drive economic and social progress. He called for the swift resolution of any operational challenges Meta might be facing in Pakistan, aiming to ensure a seamless partnership between the government and the tech giant.
