The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government has announced a comprehensive development package worth more than Rs206 billion for Hazara Division under the Khushhal Hazara Programme, a flagship initiative included in the Khushhal Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Budget 2026–27.
According to official documents, the programme comprises 160 development projects that will be implemented across all districts of Hazara Division. The initiative is designed to accelerate regional development through investments in infrastructure, public services, and economic growth.
The projects will span nearly 22 different sectors, reflecting the provincial government’s strategy to improve living standards and strengthen essential public facilities throughout the region. By targeting multiple sectors simultaneously, the programme aims to address both immediate development needs and long-term economic priorities.
Officials say the package will support the construction and upgrading of infrastructure, improve access to public services, and create opportunities for sustainable growth. The investment is expected to benefit residents across Hazara Division by enhancing connectivity, education, healthcare, municipal services, and other key areas of development.
The Khushhal Hazara Programme forms an important part of the provincial government’s broader development agenda outlined in the 2026–27 budget. Through large-scale public investment, the government seeks to reduce regional disparities and promote balanced development across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Authorities believe the implementation of these projects will stimulate local economic activity by generating employment opportunities, supporting businesses, and improving the overall investment climate in the region. Infrastructure upgrades are also expected to facilitate trade and improve access to markets for local communities.
The provincial government has emphasized the importance of ensuring timely execution of the projects while maintaining transparency and efficient utilization of development funds. Regular monitoring and oversight are expected to play a key role in keeping the schemes on schedule and achieving the intended outcomes.
With more than Rs206 billion allocated for 160 projects, the Hazara Division package represents one of the most significant regional development initiatives announced under the KP Budget 2026–27. As implementation begins, residents and stakeholders will closely monitor the progress of projects that are expected to contribute to the region’s long-term social and economic development.
