The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has clarified the meaning of the “Ready for Approval” status that applicants may see while using the PakID mobile application.

According to NADRA, applicants should not be concerned if their application displays this status while the fee payment option is not yet visible on the app. The authority explained that the status indicates the application has successfully reached the approval stage.

The fee payment option does not necessarily appear at the same time as the “Ready for Approval” status. Applicants are required to wait until their application receives approval before the payment facility becomes available.

NADRA has stated that the approval process can take up to 48 hours. Applicants are therefore advised to allow sufficient time for the application to move through the approval stage rather than assuming that the absence of a payment option indicates a problem.

The clarification is particularly relevant for people using the PakID app to submit identity-related applications remotely. Seeing a status that appears to indicate a pending action can sometimes cause confusion, especially when the next payment step is not immediately available.

The “Ready for Approval” status essentially means that the application is waiting for the relevant approval to be completed. Once the approval is granted, the fee payment option is expected to become available through the application.

Applicants can therefore continue to monitor their application status through the PakID app during this period. If the application remains at the same stage, users should take into account the stated processing time before seeking further assistance.

NADRA’s clarification is aimed at helping applicants understand the sequence of the online application process and avoid unnecessary concern over the temporary absence of the payment option.

The PakID platform allows citizens to initiate and manage certain identity-related services through a digital application process. The system is designed to reduce the need for applicants to visit a registration center for every stage of an eligible application.

For users currently seeing “Ready for Approval,” the key point is that the fee payment stage follows approval. The payment option may therefore remain unavailable until the relevant review has been completed.

Applicants should also ensure that the information and documents submitted through the application are accurate and complete. Any additional requirements or instructions shown within the application should be followed accordingly.

NADRA’s latest clarification provides a straightforward explanation for applicants waiting for the payment option to appear. With the approval stage potentially taking up to 48 hours, users are advised to wait for the application to progress before assuming there is an issue.
