The Consulate General of Pakistan in Jeddah has introduced a new online appointment system for NADRA and Machine-Readable Passport (MRP) services, providing greater convenience to Pakistani citizens living in western Saudi Arabia.

The initiative was launched by Pakistan’s Consul General in Jeddah, Syed Mustafa Rabbani, as part of efforts to make consular services more accessible and organized for the Pakistani community.

Under the new system, Pakistani citizens can book an appointment online before visiting the consulate. Applicants can select a suitable date and time and then visit the consulate according to their scheduled appointment.

The new process is expected to make applications for NADRA-related services and machine-readable passports more convenient for overseas Pakistanis.

Previously, citizens seeking consular services could face challenges related to waiting times, crowd management and uncertainty over service schedules. An appointment-based system can help organize visitor flow and allow applicants to plan their visits more effectively.

The facility is particularly relevant for Pakistani nationals residing in Jeddah and other parts of western Saudi Arabia, where a large Pakistani community depends on consular services for essential documentation.

NADRA services are important for overseas Pakistanis who need to obtain or update identity documents. Similarly, machine-readable passports are essential travel documents for Pakistani citizens living abroad.

By introducing online appointments, the Pakistani mission in Jeddah is seeking to simplify the process before applicants arrive at the consulate.

Citizens using the system will need to provide the required information during the appointment-booking process and ensure that they arrive at the consulate on their selected date and time.

Applicants should also make sure they have the necessary documents and supporting paperwork for their particular service. Requirements can vary depending on whether an individual is applying for a new document, renewing an existing document or requesting changes to personal information.

The introduction of the system is part of a wider shift toward digital access to government and consular services. Online appointment platforms can reduce unnecessary visits and provide citizens with a clearer process for accessing official services.

For overseas Pakistanis, access to timely documentation is particularly important because identity and passport services are often required for travel, employment, residency and other official matters.

The new facility could also help the consulate manage demand more efficiently by distributing appointments throughout available service hours.

The initiative comes as Pakistani diplomatic missions continue to focus on improving services for citizens living abroad. Saudi Arabia hosts one of the largest Pakistani expatriate communities, making efficient consular services particularly important.

Pakistani citizens in western Saudi Arabia who require NADRA or MRP services can therefore use the new appointment facility to schedule their visit instead of arriving without a confirmed time.

Applicants are advised to check the official Consulate General of Pakistan in Jeddah channels for the appointment procedure, service requirements and any updates before visiting.

The online appointment system represents another step toward making consular services more organized and accessible for Pakistanis in Saudi Arabia, while allowing citizens to plan their documentation-related visits with greater certainty.
