Lahore Adds Five New Padel Courts to Expand Opportunities in Emerging Sports

Lahore has added five newly constructed padel tennis courts as Punjab steps up efforts to promote emerging sports and provide athletes with better training and competition facilities.

Punjab Sports Minister Malik Faisal Ayub Khokhar inaugurated the new courts during a ceremony attended by the sports secretary, director general of sports and members of the local sporting community.

The development is aimed at creating more opportunities for players interested in padel, a rapidly growing racket sport that combines elements of tennis and squash.

According to the Punjab Sports Minister, one of the newly inaugurated courts has been constructed according to international standards. This facility is expected to provide players with an appropriate venue for higher-level competitions and professional training.

The remaining four courts have been designed to support national competitions, player development and regular practice. Together, the five facilities are expected to give athletes more space to train and compete.
