Karachi: In an electrifying conclusion to Karachi’s biggest football tournament, Ismail Memorial emerged victorious in the Gul Zameen Football Cup, defeating Karachi United 4-2 in the grand finale. The highly anticipated match, held at Kakri Ground on Saturday, drew in thousands of enthusiastic football fans.

Organized by Paigham-e-Pakistan and Muslim Youth League, the tournament brought together a staggering 96 teams from across the city, making it one of the largest and most competitive football tournaments in Karachi. The finale was a testament to the city’s passion for football, with the entire locality of Lyari immersed in a festive atmosphere.

The event was graced by Karachi Mayor Murtaza Wahab, President of Markazi Muslim League Sindh Faisal Nadeem, President of Markazi Muslim League Karachi Ahmad Nadeem Awan, President of Muslim Youth League Sindh Bilal Haider, and President of Muslim Youth League Karachi Engineer Muhammad Khizar Khan presence added to the excitement and prestige of the event.

Ismail Memorial’s triumph was met with jubilation from their supporters, who cheered on their team throughout the match. The winning team was presented with the coveted trophy and a cash prize of Rs. 500,000. Karachi United secured the runners-up trophy and a cash prize of Rs. 250,000.

The event concluded with a dazzling fireworks display, leaving a lasting impression on the spectators.
